Frequently Asked Questions

What chips does the SVOD Project Programmer support?

The SVOD Project Programmer works with EC chips from ITE, ENE, NUVOTON (NPCE288/388/38/48/58/68, NPCX 797/897/997), MEC, EPFxxx, Lattice. It can read POST codes, program RTS54** battery ICs, MP2949/2940/2945/2888/2845 power controllers, and CYPRESS chips.

Which protocols are supported?

SPI, I²C, SMBUS, 1-Wire, NAND, NOR, EMMC, JTAG, UART, CAN, plus parallel synchronous and asynchronous protocols.

Do I need an external power supply?

No. The programmer is USB-powered and provides 9 regulated voltages (12V, 5V, 3.3V, 3.0V, 2.8V, 2.7V, 2.5V, 1.8V, 1.2V) for the target IC directly from the USB bus.

What connector does it use?

ZIF 48 socket plus a 16-pin connector for ISP/in-circuit programming. 56 I/O ports total.

How fast is the ARM7 processor?

The on-board ARM7 runs at 550 MHz, ensuring fast read/write cycles even for large EMMC and NAND devices.

Does it detect bad contacts?

Yes. The programmer automatically detects poor pin contact when connecting an IC and warns you before attempting any read/write operation. This prevents corrupt writes caused by loose seating.

Do you ship outside the EU?

Yes. We ship worldwide. Shipping costs and transit times vary by destination — see our Shipping Information page for details.

What is the warranty period?

All SVOD products carry a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturing defects. See our Returns & Refunds page for full terms.
